Tiffany Dodd

Assistant Dean of Students - Student Accessibility Services

Welcome to UNI!

While I am relatively new to the Panther community, I have worked in higher education for 10+ years with a majority of it in Student Accessibility Services. In addition, I have multiple years of experience working with individuals with disabilities through various human services roles. I am also active in the disability community and serve as the President of Disability Rights Iowa Board of Directors.

As the Assistant Dean of Students - Student Accessibility Services, I strongly believe that disability is a naturally occurring aspect of humanity’s diversity and is an integral part of society and this University. I believe in working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to provide accessible and equitable opportunities for all students. I thoroughly enjoy working with students and work hard to create an inclusive and open environment, both in my office and across campus.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) provides direct support to students with disabilities through one-on-one meetings and the development of accommodations. Disabilities can include mobility impairments, learning disabilities, chronic illnesses, mental health diagnoses, among others. Through the accommodations process, students work with SAS staff to determine the most appropriate and effective way to create an equitable Academic and Campus Experience.
