Textbook Scholarships

In partnership with Follett bookstore, for the 2025-2026 academic year the University of Northern Iowa, is able to provide a limited number of $100.00 Textbook Scholarships to students. These scholarships support students at the University of Northern Iowa with the purchase of textbooks and other academic materials that are required for the current academic term.  

Criteria:

  • Students must first complete a Textbook Scholarship Application for the request to be considered (link will be available at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25th).
  • Students must:
    • be enrolled as an full-time, undergraduate student, for the semester they are requesting assistance,
    • have a current year FAFSA on file,
    • and be enrolled in an in-person program.
  • Students are only eligible to receive the Textbook Scholarship once during their time as an undergraduate student at the University of Northern Iowa. 

Process:

  • Applications will be opened on the first day of classes for the fall and spring semesters. Once funds are exhausted, the application will be closed.
  • Applications will be reviewed for thoroughness in responses and confirmation that students meet the above outlined criteria.
  • Scholarships are issued in the form of a Gift Card which will need to be physically picked up and physically used at the University of Northern Iowa Bookstore, run by Follett, located at 1009 W. 23rd Street., Cedar Falls, IA 50613.
  • Processing applications may take up to three business days. Students will receive follow up communication to their UNI email account. 

The Textbook Scholarship application is available through this form (link will be available at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25th). If this form is not active, funds for the Textbook Scholarship have been exhausted and the form is closed.
